BACKGROUND EXPERIENCEJeremy P. Skinner is an associate attorney with Alvarez, Winthrop, Thompson & Storey, P.A. His practice focuses on transportation law, premises liability, and third party property.
Jeremy attended St. Thomas University located in Miami Gardens, Florida where he was the managing editor of St. Thomas Law Review. He graduated cum laude and was awarded a pro-bono community service award for having competed over 200 hours of pro-bono legal work. Before law school, Jeremy graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeremy worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida in Orange and Osceola County. He gained significant courtroom experience where he developed his oral advocacy skills. In addition, Jeremy regularly negotiated plea deals which directly translates to his ability to negotiate and resolve cases in the best interest of his clients.
Jeremy was born in Sacramento, California and regularly returns to meet with family and friends. He moved to South Florida to attend law school and shortly thereafter moved to Orlando, Florida. Outside of work, Jeremy has a passion for traveling and food. When he can, he likes to travel to the corners of the world and try various cuisines. He has had the pleasure of traveling to countries such as China, Japan, Vietnam, South Africa, Myanmar and Ghana. Jeremy loves to cook and try new recipes.
