BACKGROUND EXPERIENCEJeremy P. Skinner is an associate attorney with Alvarez, Winthrop, Thompson & Storey, P.A. His practice focuses on transportation law, premises liability, and third party property.
Mr. Skinner attended St. Thomas University located in Miami Gardens, Florida where he was the managing editor of St. Thomas Law Review. Mr. Skinner graduated cum laude and was awarded a pro-bono community service award for having competed over 200 hours of pro-bono legal work. Before law school, Mr. Skinner graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Skinner worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida in Orange and Osceola County. Mr. Skinner gained significant courtroom experience where he developed his oral advocacy skills. In addition, Mr. Skinner regularly negotiated plea deals which directly translates to his ability to negotiate and resolve cases in the best interest of his clients.
Mr. Skinner was born in Sacramento, California and regularly returns to meet with family and friends. Mr. Skinner moved to South Florida to attend law school and shortly thereafter moved to Orlando, Florida. Outside of work, Mr. Skinner has a passion for traveling and food. When he can, he likes to travel to the corners of the world and try various cuisines. He has had the pleasure of traveling to countries such as China, Japan, Vietnam, South Africa, Myanmar and Ghana. Mr. Skinner loves to cook and try new recipes.
