Brandon M. Smith is an associate with Alvarez, Winthrop, Thompson & Storey, P.A. His practice is focused on business litigation, first-party property insurance defense/homeowners claims, community association disputes, construction defect and premises liability.
Prior to attending law school, Brandon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history, graduating Cum Laude with a minor in humanities from the University of South Florida in 2012. Brandon earned his law degree from Florida A&M College of Law in 2015. During law school, Brandon worked as a legal assistant for a law firm where he aided in complex Multidistrict Litigations. Additionally, while attending Florida A&M College of Law, Brandon was awarded three Book Awards and repeatedly appeared on the Dean’s List of Scholars. After becoming an attorney, Brandon represented insurance companies and their insured in Workers’ Compensation disputes before transitioning into commercial and real property litigation.
Brandon’s professional memberships include the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida, and the Orange County Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of the Florida Bar’s Young Lawyer’s Division.
